gimp:error while loading shared libraries: libbabl-0.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

After trying so many things to get my gimp working finally i was able to solve it.
After i upgraded to ubuntu 11.04 when i start my gimp from cmd i get the following errors
gimp:error while loading shared libraries: libbabl-0.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
the problem was with synbolic links. I looked at usr/lib and found that there were no libbabl-0.0.s0.0 files. i tried to reinstall it but didn work. Finally i got it working, i had to remove gimp and purge and install libgegl and libbabl again.
the doing the following cmd does it.

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get purge gimp libgegl* libbabl*
sudo apt-get install gimp
sudo apt-get clean

Another web server daemon is already running

I have looked for solutions to this problem.... if you are looking for it then here is the one which worked for me...
If your terminal says that “XAMPP: Another web server daemon is already Running“ then it is may be a case that u have installed apache while installing some tools... so stop the apache server with the following lines of code and restart xampp..
sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 stop
and then restart xampp
sudo /opt/lampp/lampp start

One other way though i did'n get this but it may work if some other services are running on port number 80.
 netstat -an grep -w 80

 This will show the services running on port number 80 and stop that service by going to system->administrator->system monitor.

What are dll files...?

            Dynamic link library (DLL) is a collection of small programs, which can be called upon when needed by the executable program (EXE) that is running.
            Programmers use dll files to provide codes that can be reused and can carry distinct jobs. dll files cannot be called directly unlike an exe file but needs to be called by a program that is already running.
            An example would be if the program (exe) needs to get the free space of your hard drive. It can call the DLL file that contains the function with parameters and a call function. The DLL will then tell the executable the free space. This allows the executable to be smaller in size and not have to write the function that has already exists.
            The advantage of DLL files is that, because they do not get loaded into RAM together with the main program, space is saved in RAM. When and if a DLL file is called, then it is loaded.

Recovering Grub after installing Windows

Well i´ve had a lot of headache on recovering my grub. IF uǘe got a similar problem, i´ve got this simple solution that worked great.
If you run a dual-boot system with Ubuntu and Windows, this has happened to you. You had to do your monthly reinstall of Windows, and now you don’t see the linux bootloader anymore, so you can’t boot into Ubuntu or whatever flavor of linux you prefer.
Boot off the live ubuntu cd
Go to places

here 52gb file system is where i have my ubuntu installed.Click on it.

Your Ubuntu partition is now mounted. You will need to use terminal:

Verify if your partition is correct.

mount | tail -1 

You should see output similar to this:

/dev/sda2 on /media/0d104aff-ec8c-44c8-b811-92b993823444 type ext4 (rw,nosuid,nodev,uhelper=devkit)

To make sure this is indeed the Ubuntu boot partition, run ls /media/0d104aff-ec8c-44c8-b811-92b993823444/boot
you will see something similar to this:

config-2.6.18-3-686      initrd.img-2.6.18-3-686.bak  System.map-2.6.18-3-686
grub                     lost+found                   vmlinuz-2.6.18-3-686
initrd.img-2.6.18-3-686  memtest86+.bin

Now we just need to reinstall GRUB by specifying the correct directory and the correct drive name:

sudo grub-install --root-directory=/media/0d104aff-ec8c-44c8-b811-92b993823444 /dev/sda

If all went well, you should see something like this:

Installation finished. No error reported.

Thats it.

Now restart your computer by removing the cd..

ANOTHER METHOD:
Boot off with your live cd.
Open terminal
Type:

sudo grub

You will get a screen showing

grub>

Type:
 

grub>find /boot/grub/stage1

This will give you the partition where ubuntu is present. I´ve taken it as 2nd partition.So i´ll get

root(hd0,2)

Now type:

grub>root(hd0,2)

grub>setup(hd2)

grub>exit  

And now restart your computer by removing the cd.

Enabling telnet in windows 7

I've seen prob in windows 7 and vista with telnet..
but u can enable them now by the followin  process
Go to ctrl panel, click "programs and features" . in the window that appears, click on turn windows festures on or off and select telnet client and press ok.
U'll see, tell net will now be enabled...!!!!

Common man shares just innocense in senseless pride.
Crude deep technology are being developed but much of it are not indian participation,and even if it is then he is supposedly an NRI. Indians have the best brains but it is most of it directed towards corruption and the rest is never given a chance. I was only exposed to the fact of corruption supressing creativity, intelligence and innocence when i grew 19. I could just see the discrimination to the intelligence made during the CET councelling on the basis of caste, and to avoid it,people would buy officials on their side to get rural certificates or fake caste certificates.To gain scholarship, they would make fake income certificates. Though i was angry but i knew that there is no other choice because the system itself is not an audited one.How can the government bvelieve that scholarship  
is the right of only those ppl who earn less than 11000 per annum. Virtually everyone earns more than that else he cannot survive. Ok, i may admit that there are poor people whome we need to help but the fact is that these people are getting no facilities at all instead i myself know people who earn in lakhs but have income certificate of that sort in hand and not only that ,they have green cards too.

I'm not the one who blames these people because its not there mistake but its the system and its officers who help them do such mistakes. Everybody say the same thing when i point out these issues" U r still young with hot blood and u do not know about this world, slowly you'll accept it and be the same like others". I fear that this will happen. I had paid 100 rs to tc on my way to mumbai from b'lore to get a berth for myself to sleep during the night. I did not had to do that but i knew,if i wouldn't than someone else will get that seat. It is the duty of the TTE to do this work for free but he has to run a family or(if he's potential to take care of that) than he has to quench is thirst for earnng more. In either ways he's just another one who dosen't hesitate to ask bribe in public.
